Rafe McCullough

PhD, LMHC (WA), LPC (OR), NCC

Oregon & Washington

I bring both academic and clinical expertise to my work as a mental health therapist. I have extensive experience in diverse settings, working with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, BIPOC individuals, and people with disabilities. In addition to being a licensed mental health clinician, I’m a tenured professor in counseling. I consider your unique identities, cultural background, and values, as well as the environments you interact with—like work, school, family, and community—to understand how they affect your mental health, both positively and negatively. As a counselor educator and scholar in the field of counseling, I remain deeply engaged with current research and best practices in multicultural, trauma-informed, and identity-affirming care. I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities, always tailoring my approach to meet your unique needs and goals. My work is guided by a strong commitment to equity, social justice, and the belief that every person has the capacity for resilience, connection, and change. Together, we’ll work collaboratively to explore the patterns, experiences, and systems impacting your mental health, and build tools that support your healing, growth, and sense of agency. Therapy with me is a space where you can show up as your full self—and be met with care, curiosity, and respect.
