Why Join?

Reimagining Private Practice

At Piiq Space, we believe therapists deserve more than just a seat at the table—they deserve the tools, support, and community to flourish. Founded by Dr. Manivong J. Ratts, a nationally respected leader in the counseling field, Piiq Space was created with one clear mission: to help therapists thrive so they can support clients in reaching their own piiq potential.

We understand that both associate-level and fully licensed therapists often dream of private practice but feel overwhelmed by licensing logistics, business setup, paperwork, and professional isolation. Piiq Space was designed to change that—to make private practice accessible, sustainable, and fulfilling for clinicians at every stage of their careers.

For Associate-Level Therapists

Associate-level clinicians are too often excluded from the private practice world. At Piiq Space, we’re changing that narrative by building intentional partnerships with early-career therapists who are ready to launch thriving practices.

We offer a collaborative model that supports you as an independent contractor, while surrounding you with structure, mentorship, and supervision. You’ll receive access to professional services tailored to your specific goals—whether that’s building confidence in clinical work, navigating insurance, or learning to market yourself effectively. You remain in charge of your own practice, but you’re never in it alone.

For Fully Licensed Therapists

We believe every licensed therapist deserves a practice that reflects their values, strengths, and long-term vision. At Piiq Space, we begin by sitting down with you to assess where you are, identify your current strengths and challenges, and collaboratively set clear, personalized goals. From building your ideal caseload to clarifying your niche or enhancing your systems, we’ll map out a realistic timeline to get you where you want to go.

And we don’t stop there. Once your goals are in place, we support you with professional services designed to help you thrive. From credentialing and billing assistance to marketing, referrals, scheduling, and a secure HIPAA-compliant EHR system—we’ve got the logistics covered. You lead your practice; we provide the infrastructure and partnership that make growth sustainable.

For Counseling Interns

We believe internships should be more than just checking boxes—they should launch your career with confidence, purpose, and direction. That’s why our internship experience is designed to do more than just help you build clinical skills. It’s about developing your voice as a therapist, your role as a social change agent, and your path as a future private practice owner.

As an intern at Piiq Space, you’ll receive intentional mentorship from seasoned clinicians who are passionate about your growth. You’ll gain hands-on experience with a diverse client base, build a strong foundation in assessment, treatment planning, and documentation, and be supported in developing a therapeutic style that’s authentic to who you are.

But we don’t stop at clinical skills.

We also provide education and mentorship in the business side of therapy, so that by the time you graduate, you’ll have insight into how to build your own practice—from billing and credentialing to marketing and systems. And because our work is rooted in equity and inclusion, you’ll also learn how to show up as a socially conscious clinician—someone who not only serves clients, but also challenges systems and advocates for change in your community.
